The summer break is over, and the start of the new academic year can also be the start of a new professional challenge.
For students, graduates and young professionals interested in energy transition, offshore renewable energy sources, engineering, marine environmental protection and the development of the blue economy, a call is open for enrolment in the one-year first-level master's programme:
OFF-SHORE ENERGY TRANSITION
The programme is delivered by Politecnico di Bari, in cooperation with the Apulia Region, within the strategic project SA SKILLS – High LEVEL and market-respondent Competences for a Blue and Digitalized Smart and skilled South Adriatic, implemented under the Interreg IPA South Adriatic 2021–2027 programme.
The Master is one of the key educational activities of the SA SKILLS project and has been developed according to the common Innovative Learning Module model, with the aim of enabling higher education to respond more strongly to the new needs of the labour market and the green transformation of the Adriatic region.
International experience and practical learning
The programme lasts one academic year and carries 60 CFU, with a total of 1,500 hours of teaching, individual study, internship and final thesis.
Teaching is delivered entirely in English, in a blended format – 80% online and 20% in person.
A particular value of the programme is its international and cross-border component: four weeks of in-person teaching are planned, two in Apulia, one in Montenegro and one in Albania. The group will consist of students from the four project areas – the Apulia Region, the Molise Region, Albania and Montenegro.
Students will also complete 125 hours of internship in companies, directly linking academic knowledge with real business and technological environments.
The programme covers topics such as EU energy planning, environmental impact assessment, coastal engineering, durability of offshore structures and materials, offshore renewable energy technologies, offshore energy grids, wind energy and marine environmental protection.
A special opportunity for candidates from Montenegro
SA SKILLS particularly encourages the participation of candidates from the four project territories, including Montenegro, in order to ensure a balanced cross-border composition of the group.
The maximum number of Master participants is 35, and once the priority places for the project territories have been filled, any remaining places may also be made available to candidates from other geographical areas.
An important benefit is that the cost of the Master's programme is fully covered by SA SKILLS project funds, in accordance with the agreement between the Apulia Region and Politecnico di Bari.

Practical note for candidates from Montenegro
During registration on the Esse3 portal, it may be necessary to enter an Italian Codice Fiscale.
Candidates who do not yet have an Italian tax identification number may, solely for the purpose of completing the registration procedure, generate an unofficial code via: https://www.miocodicefiscale.com/en/
This generated code serves as technical assistance for data entry during the online procedure and does not constitute an officially issued Italian Codice Fiscale. If Politecnico di Bari requests an official tax code or additional documentation at a later stage, candidates should follow their instructions.
Start the new academic year with a new challenge
The energy transition is increasingly moving out to sea. The development of offshore renewable energy, new energy grids and sustainable marine infrastructure creates a need for experts who understand technology, the environment, energy and the wider context of the blue economy.
The Master “OFF-SHORE ENERGY TRANSITION” offers exactly this kind of interdisciplinary and international opportunity.
Explore. Innovate. Transform.
Build your future. Drive the offshore energy transition.
